All it would take would be the installation of some decent electrical service to the campgrounds which accept RVs. The lines could of course be run underground, so the “pristine beauty” would not be disturbed. But just adding electricity would immediately alleviate the long-running discord between the RVers and the tent campers. There are many nearby buildings and they ALL have electricty! The campground near to it has no hookups and caters to tents.

After our trip to St. Andrews state park, we decided to purchase a tote tank for our next state park trip to the Keys. There are 4 of us, and hubby said our trailer can handle the black water for a few days, but the grey water is what gets us. Our family of 4 does not use the bath house or restrooms. Our lovely “tiny house” cottages are offered for rent on Assateague Island. They are basic and simple and without stove, sink or icebox to clutter the space it seems both cozy and spacious at the same time.

Reservations Reservations for the Furnace Creek Campground are available for the camping season of October 15 to April 15 by calling or visiting recreation.
